Why 304 stainless steel is a practical choice for a dog water bottle
On long walks, warm days and road trips, a reusable dog water bottle is useful when it is durable, easy to clean and convenient to carry. 304 stainless steel is widely used for products where those properties matter.

What is 304 stainless steel?
304 stainless steel, also known as AISI 304, is commonly used where hygiene, corrosion resistance and easy cleaning are important. It is therefore also used in food-processing and drink-related applications.
For a dog water bottle, that mainly means a sturdy reusable material that does not readily absorb odours during normal use and care.
What about BPA?
BPA is mainly relevant to certain plastics and coatings. Not every plastic contains BPA, so it is important to check the specific product information.
Our 3-in-1 dog water bottle is BPA-free. This has been confirmed for this product in the available test report.
That does not mean stainless steel automatically rules out every material-related consideration. A bottle can also contain seals or plastic components, so we look at the complete product and available test information.
What about microplastics?
Research into bottled water has shown that nano- and microplastic particles can occur. That research does not concern every dog water bottle and does not prove that every plastic bottle releases the same amount.
The main body of a stainless steel bottle is not plastic. We therefore do not claim that the complete product is entirely free from microplastics unless this has specifically been tested.

Stainless steel, aluminium, glass or plastic?
Each material has advantages and disadvantages. Plastic is often light. Glass is taste-neutral but heavier and breakable. Aluminium is light but drink products often use an internal coating. Stainless steel can be heavier than some plastics, but it is robust, reusable and easy to clean.
