Product description

A good harness should not only feel comfortable when your dog is standing still, but also stay in place while walking, turning and pulling. This khaki Y-harness is adjustable at the neck and chest and has two leash attachment points: a front chest clip for extra control and a back clip for relaxed everyday walks.

The outer layer is neoprene with a breathable mesh lining. Reflective details help improve your dog's visibility in low-light conditions.

More control without using the neck as the point of pressure

Does your dog pull on the leash? Attach the leash to the front chest clip. This changes the direction of the pulling force and can help reduce straight-ahead pulling. A no-pull harness does not replace leash training, but it can be a practical training aid.

For regular walks, use the back clip. This lets you choose the attachment point that best suits each walk or situation.

Fit matters for comfort and safety

A harness that is too loose can shift or twist. One that is too tight or sits too close to the armpits can become uncomfortable. Measure the chest at its widest point just behind the front legs and adjust the neck and chest carefully. The front buckle also has an additional safety lock, helping prevent it from being opened accidentally. After fitting, check while your dog moves that the harness stays centred and clear of the armpits.

Frequently asked questions

Can my dog back out of this harness?

No standard Y-harness can be guaranteed completely escape-proof. If a dog is startled, turns around and pulls backwards hard, a loose or incorrectly fitted harness can shift towards the shoulders. The front buckle does have an additional safety lock so it cannot simply open accidentally. Choose the correct size, adjust the neck and chest carefully and check that large gaps do not appear when your dog moves backwards. If your dog is a known escape artist or panics easily, use an appropriate safety backup or a purpose-designed anti-escape solution.

How do I prevent rubbing near the armpits?

Check the fit while your dog is moving, not only while standing still. Make sure the straps stay clear of the armpits and the harness does not shift to one side. If a strap still rubs despite correct adjustment, the shape or size may not suit your dog's build.

Why does a harness sometimes twist sideways?

This can happen if the left and right adjustments are uneven, the harness is too loose or sideways leash tension occurs. Check that the straps are adjusted evenly and the harness remains centred during movement.

Can the leash get under a front leg when using the chest clip?

Yes, this can happen with a front clip if there is too much slack or your dog steps over the leash. Keep appropriate control of the loose leash. For relaxed walks with more freedom of movement, the back clip may be more practical.

Will the chest clip stop my dog pulling?

The chest clip can help reduce straight-ahead pulling and give you more control, but a harness does not automatically teach loose-leash walking. Combine it with calm, consistent leash training.

How tight should the harness be?

It should fit snugly without restricting movement or pressing into the skin. Check especially that it cannot easily slide over the shoulders towards the head and that the straps remain clear of the armpits during movement. Recheck the adjustment after the first walks.

Which size should I choose if my dog is between sizes?

Use chest circumference as the main guide, then check the adjustment ranges for the neck and chest. Body shapes vary considerably, so do not choose by weight or breed alone. If you are unsure about the fit, contact us before ordering.

When should I use the front clip and when the back clip?

Use the front clip when you want more control during training or your dog pulls strongly forwards. The back clip is suitable for relaxed daily walks when your dog already walks more calmly on the leash.
